Having firsthand experience in schools which diverse vastly in culture and resources, allowed me to grow and develop multicultural values and approaches in order to accommodate for any learner that may walk into my classroom one day.

I have so many ideas to add to the table, anti-bullying, occupational therapy, counselling, and school involvement in crucial life skills needed are merely but a few topics.

To this day I still remember my Grade R classroom and most importantly the teacher, Mrs. Bee, she was gentle, compassionate, kind, understanding, and compelling. I still get excited and greet her when I see her. This is the type of teacher I value and aim to be like, I want the children who walk through my classroom to feel safe, loved, and embraced in knowledge and freedom.

Language is a crucial tool in the modern world we live in, knowing this exemplifies the urge to go and teach English to others and to show the learners my culture through not only the English Language but also through the games we will play, the activities we will partake in, the passion for learning that will be shared in the classroom, and the love for others. I think I would make a great asset to the school, learners, and parents.

I love working with children because the classrooms can be big, loud, and fill of energy! My strengths lie in creating wonderful resources to use with my lesson to help students understand the English in Real Life terms. My patience and ability to make those around me feel safe and encouraged to try their best are also some of my strengths! Phonics, The Building Blocks of Reading, Vocabulary, Conversational English, writing in English, Using English in Social Settings, Examination Preparation, Study Methods, and Quiz making are the areas of expertise I can offer you!
