Hello! My name is Tessie, and I’m passionate about teaching English. I hold a TEFL certification, as well as a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and Industrial Psychology, and a Postgraduate Law degree, all obtained from the University of the Witwatersrand. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with learners of all ages and from diverse backgrounds, helping them achieve their English language goals.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing tennis and watching worldwide documentaries. These interests keep me inspired and bring a diverse outlook to my teaching approach.
I strongly believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience, and that making mistakes is an essential part of growth. Seeing my students make progress, especially when it’s something I’ve taught them, is incredibly rewarding and meaningful to me. I strive to create a positive, student-centered environment where learning is engaging, and each lesson is an opportunity to build confidence and skill.
