Hi, I'm Arwen. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts, Major in Theater Arts. I like listening to music, reading books, creative writing and upcycling. I love listening to most types of music, but I dig rythm and blues and pop music. My love for reading was influenced by my Mom as she also loves books. My passion for writing started when I was in grade school. It was when we were asked to write essays about our experiences. It's a way for me to express my thoughts and opinions about life in general. And when I feel inspired, sad or happy, I write poems and lyrics too. Now I just need to look for a composer who can put some melody to my songs! The first experience I had with teaching was during my senior year in college. It's where I facilitated a workshop for a group of grade school and high school students. After college, I worked in the Business Process Outsourcing industry where the companies I worked for has clients which are considered Fortune 500 companies. That's where I got to interact with different types of people with different nationalities and who are mostly native English speakers. The projects/campaigns/accounts I've handled were mostly related to customer service, technology and technical support, market reaserch, sales, finance and the stock market. I remember sitting in one of my Mom's class when she used to teach kids, as a volunteer, in the Day Care Center in our neighborhood. That's when I first thought that someday I'd want to be a teacher too. What I can share to my students are the best practices I've learned from my previous line of work. Which will help them in learning and improving their English language skills, so that they can confidently speak and understand the language, which will help them be globally competitive.
